About TRU

The Technoscience Research Unit is an interdisciplinary and collaborative group concerned with the politics of technoscience. Located at the University of Toronto and dedicated to theoretically and empirically engaged work, the TRU broadly includes the study of knowledge and practice in sites both quotidian and expert.

TRU embraces the ongoing project of exploring crossings and encounters between the humanities and the sciences in a moment in which disciplines are compelled to undergo radical reconfiguration, spawning newly minted scientific specialties, as much as rendering other intellectual practices archaic.
